Our 3 week stay in Lisbon was one of the best experiences we have ever had. Casa da Educação - Erasmus+ is a wonderful partner organizing internships for students on the highest level. Starting from the excellent care we received from the whole Casa de Educacao family, through their engagement to ensure the best quality of the internships, ending at the smallest details. The amazing director Rosario, together with her coworkers made every effort to make our stay in Portugal an unforgettable experience. We had the feeling that we could always turn to them for help, advice and tips. We felt as if we were cared for by our closest family and we hope that Casa de Educacao will be a part of our big European family from now on.Today we are ending up our Portuguese adventure. We will go back home with wonderful memories, new skills and friendships. We feel that we had a chance to learn about the culture and customs of the Portugese, whom we will remember as warm, open hearted and joyful people. We will remember the beautiful Lisbon and its wonderful surroundings (we will surely forget about leg aches and shortness of breath quickly!). Great views from many points of the city, which we tried to explore every day, the bumpy ride through Lisbon's winding streets of Alfama on Tram 28, delicious Portuguese coffee with pasteis de nata, Bacalhau in many varieties, wonderful sun and waves reaching the shores of the river Tag as we were going down the coast to work. Bairro Alto's bustling nightlife, Alfama's cafes with Fado live.
Casa de Educacao ensured friendly internship companies. In each restaurant we felt really welcome. Working with the Portugese, and often in an international environment, was a pleasure. When we said goodbye, there was a lot of sadness and sometimes even tears came to our eyes... We learned a lot, we had a chance to work on wonderful, fresh products, we got to know new dishes. We are not afraid of seafood anymore. We come back home more confident, broad- minded , with better language skills. We come back smiling and still a bit sad that the fantastic adventure has come to an end.
